SISGAIN UAE Editorial Guidelines: Standards for Our Newsroom and Published Content

The SISGAIN UAE newsroom shares company announcements, press releases, technology news and insights, and thought leadership from SISGAIN Technologies, with a focus on developments that matter to businesses and institutions in the United Arab Emirates and the wider Gulf region. These editorial guidelines set out the standards we follow when we create, review, verify, publish, and update that content.

We publish for business leaders, technology professionals, government and public-sector teams, journalists, analysts, researchers, and general readers. Each of them should be able to rely on what we publish, understand how it was prepared, and know how to reach us when something needs clarification or correction.

1. Purpose of Our Editorial Guidelines

These guidelines exist to:

  • Explain how content on the SISGAIN UAE newsroom is developed and published
  • Set consistent standards for accuracy, sourcing, originality, and transparency
  • Help readers and media professionals judge the reliability of our content
  • Make sure our content respects the laws, regulations, and cultural values that apply in the UAE
  • Give SISGAIN contributors, reviewers, and communications teams a shared reference

They apply to content published in the SISGAIN UAE PR and newsroom section, including press releases, company announcements, media statements, articles, insights, and related editorial material.

2. Our Editorial Principles

Six principles guide everything we publish.

Accuracy First

Every statement of fact should be correct, verifiable, and appropriately qualified. If we cannot verify a claim, we do not publish it.

Transparency

We are clear about who is speaking, what is being announced, and where information comes from. Promotional or company-authored content is identifiable as such.

Independence of Judgment

We do not overstate, exaggerate, or present opinion as fact. Commercial interests do not override factual integrity.

Reader Value

Content should inform. It should explain developments, provide context, and respect the reader's time, rather than exist only to promote.

Respect for the UAE Context

We publish in line with UAE law and with respect for the country's culture, religion, institutions, and national symbols. Our content is written for a diverse, multinational readership and avoids anything that is offensive, discriminatory, or inflammatory.

Accountability

We take responsibility for what we publish, correct errors openly, and welcome feedback.

3. Accuracy and Fact-Checking

Accuracy is the foundation of credible publishing. Before content is published, we expect the following:

  • Verification of factual claims. Names, titles, dates, figures, product details, and technical descriptions are checked against reliable, primary, or authoritative sources.
  • Confirmation of quotes and attributions. Quotations are attributed to the person who gave them. Where a quote is attributed to a SISGAIN representative or a third party, the speaker or their authorized representative should approve it before publication.
  • Precise, measured language. We avoid absolute or superlative claims, such as "best," "leading," or "first," unless they can be substantiated and the basis is stated.
  • Clear distinction between fact and opinion. Commentary, perspective, and forecasts are presented as such.
  • Correct names and titles. Names of UAE government entities, regulators, free zones, officials, and organizations are checked against official sources, including their correct English and, where relevant, Arabic names.

4. Sources and Research Standards

We prefer sources that are credible, current, and directly relevant. In order of preference, these are:

  • Primary sources, such as official statements, UAE federal and emirate-level government publications, regulatory documents, original research, and first-hand documentation
  • Established research institutions, standards bodies, and recognized industry organizations
  • Reputable publications and subject-matter experts

Where a source materially supports a claim, we identify it clearly. We do not rely on anonymous, unverifiable, or low-quality sources for factual claims. Where information is incomplete, contested, or evolving, we say so instead of presenting it with false certainty.

When we write about UAE laws, regulations, or national programs, we refer to the official text or the issuing authority wherever possible and note the date of the information. Our summaries are for general awareness and are not legal advice.

5. Originality and Content Integrity

  • We publish original content prepared for the SISGAIN UAE newsroom. We do not copy, closely paraphrase, or repurpose others' work without proper attribution and permission.
  • We do not publish misleading headlines, fabricated quotations, manipulated visuals, or content designed to create a false impression.
  • We do not publish rumours, unverified claims, or content that could mislead the public, in line with applicable UAE laws on false information and cybercrime.
  • Where content builds on public research or reporting, we credit the source.
  • Headlines and summaries should accurately reflect the content that follows.

6. Expert Review and Editorial Review

Content published on the SISGAIN UAE newsroom is reviewed before release. Depending on the subject, review may cover:

  • Subject-matter review. Technical, product, or industry content is checked by relevant SISGAIN professionals for factual and technical accuracy.
  • Editorial review. Content is reviewed for clarity, accuracy, tone, consistency, grammar, and adherence to these guidelines.
  • Legal and compliance review. Content that touches on regulated sectors, government entities, data protection, or legal and regulatory claims may be reviewed for compliance with applicable UAE requirements before release.
  • Approval for announcements. Company announcements and statements are approved by the appropriate SISGAIN stakeholders before publication.

The purpose of review is to confirm that content is accurate, appropriately sourced, lawful, and suitable for a professional audience.

7. AI-Assisted Content and Human Oversight

Technology and AI are central to SISGAIN's work, and we approach their use in content creation with care.

  • Human responsibility. Where AI-based tools assist with research, drafting, editing, or translation, people remain responsible for the accuracy, quality, and integrity of what is published.
  • Verification is required. AI-generated or AI-assisted material must be reviewed and fact-checked like any other content. We do not publish AI output that has not been verified.
  • No fabrication. AI tools are not used to invent quotations, data, sources, or attributions, or to create misleading images, audio, or video of real people.
  • Care with translation. Arabic and other translated content is reviewed by a fluent speaker before publication, because machine translation can miss nuance, tone, and official terminology.
  • Confidentiality. Confidential, client, or personal information is not entered into tools that are not approved for that purpose.

8. News, PR, and Company Announcements

The newsroom is an official channel for SISGAIN communications. Our standards for these materials are as follows.

Press Releases and Announcements

Releases and announcements state facts clearly, identify SISGAIN as the source, and separate factual reporting from a company perspective. Claims about products, services, partnerships, or outcomes are included only when they can be verified and, where relevant, are approved by the parties involved.

Partnerships, Clients, and Third Parties

We name clients, partners, or other organizations only with appropriate authorization. This applies with particular care to UAE government entities, semi-government bodies, and regulated organizations, whose names, logos, and projects we do not use without written permission. Statements attributed to third parties are used with their consent.

Timeliness and Clarity

Announcements state what happened, who is involved, and why it matters, with dates that are accurate and unambiguous. Where a date or time zone matters, we use Gulf Standard Time (GST) or state the time zone clearly.

Media Communications

Statements attributed to SISGAIN spokespersons represent the company's position at the time of publication.

The newsroom is a company publication, and some content necessarily reflects SISGAIN's own services and perspectives. We hold that content to clear standards.

  • Promotional content is identifiable and is not presented as independent reporting.
  • Where content is contributed by, or prepared in collaboration with, a third party, or is otherwise sponsored or paid for, the relationship is disclosed clearly.
  • Promotional content is held to the same accuracy and substantiation standards as all other content.
  • We do not use misleading claims, unsupported comparisons, or unattributed endorsements.
  • Advertising and promotional content follows applicable UAE advertising and consumer protection rules, including any permit or licensing requirements that apply to paid promotional content, where relevant.

10. Corrections and Updates

We correct errors promptly and openly.

  • Factual errors are corrected once verified, and significant corrections are noted on the content, including what was changed and when.
  • Minor edits, such as typographical or formatting fixes, may be made without a formal notation.
  • Outdated information is updated, clearly marked, or archived where continued accuracy cannot be ensured.
  • Legal or regulatory requests. We review and act promptly on lawful requests from authorities, and on credible requests from individuals or organizations who believe content is inaccurate, defamatory, or infringes their rights.
  • We do not silently alter published content in ways that change its meaning.

If you spot a factual error or believe a correction is needed, please email us at [email protected] with the page title or link and the details of the issue.

11. Conflicts of Interest and Transparency

Because the newsroom is published by SISGAIN, readers should understand who is speaking. We therefore:

  • Identify SISGAIN as the publisher and, where relevant, the author or spokesperson
  • Disclose material relationships, such as commercial, financial, or partnership interests, when they relate to the subject of the content
  • Ask contributors and reviewers to disclose relevant conflicts before publication
  • Avoid presenting company interests as independent or third-party views

12. Privacy and Confidential Information

We respect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals, clients, partners, and colleagues.

  • We do not publish confidential, proprietary, or personal information without authorization.
  • Client names, project details, or outcomes are published only with appropriate permission.
  • Personal information, including names, images, and quotations, is used with consent and only where relevant. We do not publish photos or video of individuals in private settings without their consent.
  • Content is prepared in line with SISGAIN's applicable privacy commitments, contractual obligations, and UAE data protection and privacy laws.
  • We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect the same of those who use our content.
  • Text, images, graphics, data, and other materials are used only when we own them, have permission to use them, or are legally entitled to do so.
  • Third-party works are credited appropriately.
  • SISGAIN's own content, including text, graphics, and branding, is protected under applicable UAE and international intellectual property laws. Reuse beyond reasonable quotation with attribution requires prior permission. Media and partners seeking to reproduce SISGAIN materials may contact us through the details below.

14. Responsible Use of Statistics, Data, and Research

Data can inform or mislead depending on how it is presented. When we use it, we:

  • Cite the source, timeframe, and, where relevant, the methodology or scope
  • Avoid selective or out-of-context use that could distort meaning
  • Distinguish clearly between correlation, projection, estimate, and verified fact
  • Use current data where possible and clearly date older figures
  • State the currency, and whether amounts include or exclude VAT, when we publish prices, budgets, or market figures in AED, USD, or another currency
  • Do not publish statistics, benchmarks, or research findings we cannot substantiate

Where the source of a figure cannot be verified, we do not use it.

15. Content Updates and Review Process

Technology and regulation change quickly, and published content should keep pace.

  • Content is reviewed periodically to confirm that it remains accurate and relevant.
  • Articles and announcements may be updated to reflect new developments, including changes to UAE laws, regulations, or standards, with the update clearly indicated where the change is meaningful.
  • Content that is no longer accurate or relevant may be revised, archived, or removed.
  • Publication and update dates are displayed so readers can judge how current a piece is.

16. Language and Localization

Our UAE newsroom is published primarily in English, and some content may also be available in Arabic.

  • Translations are intended to convey the same meaning as the original and are reviewed before publication.
  • Where an English and an Arabic version differ, the English version prevails unless the law requires otherwise.
  • We use clear, respectful, and inclusive language, and we avoid idioms or imagery that may be unsuitable for a regional audience.

17. Reader Feedback and Editorial Inquiries

We welcome questions, feedback, and correction requests from readers, journalists, analysts, and partners.

18. Commitment to Continuous Improvement

Editorial standards are not static. We review these guidelines periodically and update them as our practices, technologies, industry expectations, and UAE legal and regulatory requirements evolve. Reader feedback and lessons from our own publishing help us improve.

Our aim is to keep the SISGAIN UAE newsroom a source of accurate, transparent, and useful information about our company and the technology landscape we operate in.
